Laura Linney is an American actor, who became well-known for her performance of powerful but fragile characters. When she was a child, spending time at the house of her father her interest grew in the theater. While in Brown University for a while and then later, she attended Juilliard School to study acting. Following her graduation at Brown University in the year 2000, she made making her Broadway debut soon afterward. After two years of that, her first film was released and the next year she made her television debut. Her appearances have been in a variety of movies, television shows and stage productions since then. Over the course of her career, she won several awards, among them the two Golden Globe Awards. However, despite all the nominations and awards, her enthusiasm for theater is still there in her, and she continues to perform both onscreen and onstage.
